Hello. I've recently become very interested in the look of putting 2d dimensional characters in a 3d environment. I don't mean drawing in the 2d characters but using textures on flat geometry to achieve this effect. Kind of like the show "Fred the Caveman" or even Southpark (which is made entirely in Maya). I've run into some tutorials that gave a very nice explanation on how to achieve this technique. However, it wasn't too in depth. I'm very interested in exploring this technique and as I'm still new to 3d (a one year old baby) I would like to know how you, the 3d community, would implore this technique in your native applications. What confuses me most is how one would go about making lipsync with textures. But mostly it's just a question as to how you'd attack this style.
Thanks for your time.
Anthony
