Hello, I've got a little problem that I wonder
if anyone else has come across and could give
me a hand.
I've got a scene set up for use in an animation
that uses a simple light set up of Skylight using
the Light tracer and one omni light. In this scene is a
reflective see through floor and also a rainbow
that is slightly see through. (Opacity values are
85% and 70% respectively).
The problem is that when I render it, red flecks
and strange distortions in the image
appear on the render (see pic).
To try and solve the problem I've tried a number
of things:
1.) upping the Lightracer rays/sample value from 44,
what I used in the pic shown, to 100. But this doesn't help.
2.) I've tried not including certain elements in
the scene, by removing the foor and rainbow
mentioned above this seems to get rid of the red
flecks.
3.) If I make neither the floor nor the rainbow
see through ( ie change both opacity values to 100%)
then I also get no red flecks or distortions.
So in conclusion I guess it must be the opacity levels that
are somehow cuasing the problem, But I want the see through
quality of these objects in my scene.
Any ideas or ways around this problem?
Thanks.
