I'm making a kind of exhaust pipe. So i have 2 nurbs tubes and they must merge into one, making a kind of Y shape
Anyone knows how to make this? The connection must be seemless, like on the picture below:

1."intersect surfaces" of the cylinders at where they meet
2. Trim
3. Freeform fillet the trim edges to get the rounded look.

Do the pipes in polys, convert to sub-D's and back to nurbs, let maya patch it up, I believe you wont be texturing an exhaust too much. Even so, you can line up the lines so that your isoparms come out correctly.
Or... just do an old fashioned poly... :-)
