Is it there in the objects window? If not you haven't created it! Try again, do not pass go do not collect $200!
If it is there try selecting it and then pressing w. You may have it in Wireframe mode.

Bwahhahahaha!!!! I'm such an ass! The image is there, except my model is so friggin' huge that I couldn't see the image!!
