I just posted this to MAXON's suggestions. Thought I would share with you all. Any thoughts on this suggestion or other ideas?
---
I have had a few suggestions in the past relating to NET Render to add more control/info on clients as well as support for Networked still renderings (especially for Radiosity still images).
I just thought of a NET Render management feature that would be AWESOME for our purposes... A way to create client groups.
Say I had 30 clients for network rendering. It would be nice to group the 10 slowest ones into a group called "slow clients" and then create another group of 10 for the "faster" clients, then the last 10 in a group called "fastest".
On the Clients page, the groups would initially be seen with a thumbnail of the most recent frame rendered from that group. The group name and number of clients in that group would also be shown. The group could be expanded or collapsed to hide/show all clients in that group. Also, AND MOST IMPORTANT, each group can be disabled or enabled right there in the Clients window (similar to how the Object manager works).
---
Of course, each client within their group could have the same management (enable/disable, reset, and maybe even to see an enlarged view of the rendered frame).
More thoughts?
