View Full Version : Realtime viewport Feedback during lipsync?

I have read "stop staring" as i'm sure many others have, loved it.
Set up a head and pose morphs and all the rest, got some quick stuff done,
I'm pleased with it.
so to the problem- the playback in the viewport is terrible! the poly mesh is really low and the viewport updates and manipulates just fine until i try to play the animation then it goes to pot, it just cant keep up at all- it scrubs through not to bad- but i need to render it out to see it running with the correct frame rate which is essential to get proper sync! so it's slowing down my workflow quite alot. it's not a huge concern at the moment, but if We decide to go ahead with the project it's connected to- it will be a huge concern for productivity.
Anyone got any ideas as to how i can improve playback speed in the viewport?

P.S.i'm running a PowerMac quad G5 with a geforce 6600- so I can't see it being a hardware issue :( It is the power PC version of C4D if that helps.
