you could try DVDgenie (do a google search) it supports a wide range of programs, most of which can be downloaded for free (or trials which work fine)

ah, the simply idiocy of myself... hahah. This Korean singer is quickly maxing out on the pop charts since she is a fluent singer in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.... she releases all her songs in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese in their respective countries so is easily flying past UTada Hikaru, one of the few that sold more than a million albums w/ her first release. Anyhow, turns out this CD is her japanese release and all I had to do is change the region to Japan instead of Korea ... Japanese and Korean text looks so similar so I had a hard time figuring out which was what ... but now the next question:

Now that I have changed the region setting, stupid ATI DVD says "the region setting may be only changed 3 more times" ... when that hits 0, I can't change the region anymore?? What's that all about???

Oh yah, if anyone is curious about who this singer is, her name is BoA*. PM me if u have any other questions about her.

DVD Region is a restrictive device. The manufacturer will only allow you to change it a few times, else it would be an ineffective restriction. Download DVDGenie like mentioned above and use that. That said, here are some utilities that allow you to reset the counter. Go to www.doom9.org or here (http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_utility.php).

i recently bought a Pioneer DVD driver and i locked after 5 region changes.

A quick search on google found me a whole site devoted to bypassing the region change lock on pioneer drivers, a quick firmware flash later, the region change lock no longer poses a problem :-)
