hey i love the boards !!!!

trying to get into 3dsmax got a copy from school and thr 5.0 book i was wondering if there are any good books that have tutorials as indeph as the book that comes with the program like

do this, that is here, do it by changing this,

i'd invest in video tutorials rather than books if i had the money, but that's just me. i'm a visual learner ;)

3ds max 5 Fundamentals by Ted Boardman is a good read. Lots of tutorials that continue over the course of several chapters. Watch all of the 3d Buzz tutorials as well, of course. :)

I second Northchild's suggestion of getting the New Riders Fundamentals book. For one it'll reduce the ammount of basic should-already-know questions you might have :P
