this is a beholder that i did for my "modeling for gaming" class last term. I was thinking of doing another soon, for fun. I thought i would post this to get some feedback and recomendations on how i should do the next one. I know there are some texture seem problems, but that was more of an issue of not having the time to fix them than not knowing how.

I going to crit you on the eye mostly. you have a good start, but you need to model a new one. My advice, is to pick up one of those Mike Wizaski (Monsters Inc.) stuffed toys.

And then try and model the main eye like that shape. As well, the eye stalks are too short to look like they would be effective. It's also pretty high in the poly count to be for a game.

For a modeling start just use a sphere, and at the pole area, make the eye there. You just need more practice. This is good for a first try.

yeah, i agree that i would need to do a new one. The eyestalks are definetly too short, I also thought they looked too fat after modeling them. I think my next attempt is going to be more of a skeletal look, rather than the ball look.:buttrock: :airguitar :xtreme:
