What is a good way to get polygon hair to move dynamically? I was thinking

1) dynamic joint chain soft-binded to each clump of polygon hair

2) soft body with spring

I tried wrap deform it to a dynamic curve but it didnt work as expected.
I was thinking of something quick and fast. Any suggestion is appreciated.

in summary

you can still model the geometry and put splines through it, convert those to hair curves, and use the hair curves as wire deformers on your geometry, to give the geometry nice hair driven motion. you can create the curves quickly by makig the poly surfaces live and creating them or extracting curves directly from their edges.

i think is by far the fastest way to do it, certainly compared to the methods you were attempting.
