View Full Version : Mirroring NURBS???
JakobG 02-03-2003, 11:18 PM I'm new here, and to maya, but I have to say I'm addicted already. The only problem is, I can't figure out what must be the simplest thing. How do I mirror a NURBS object? It's simply one side of four walls, and it needs to be mirrored, as rotation leads to an inaccuracy on one side... I've tried converting to sub-div's and then mirroring it and converting it back to NURBS, but I end up with several surfaces as opposed to the original one I started with. HELP!!! It's driving me mad :insane:
Oh, and hello btw :)

Hey i figured out how to do that!
Go to Edit>Duplicate>little box okay. Now that you have done that set the scale on the desired axis to negitive one and when you duplicate the item it will now create a mirror image on that axis. (ussually you want to make your negitive one on the y axis most of the times okay)

:applause: D'oh! I knew it would be something so simple... I tried rotating it and then using the scaling it but of course that meant I got the same problem all over... Thank you, kind sir!
