For any strange reason when I do closer renders with vray displacement I get those kind of artifacts like if I was using a topologic map instead of the displacement map that I exported from zbrush... Probably this is a common vray error but it's the first time i get it, my zbrush exported maps always worked fine...

and I don't know how can i fix it... actually i don't even know if this is because of the displacement map resolution or those vraydisplacementmod params.

I've taken a closer look to the displacement map and I can't see those kind of "drastic" color changes, it's all smooth and fine...

i leave here the vraydisplacement mod params
displacement map: 2048x2048 *.tif
amount:20
shift:-10
max subdivs:512

By chance did you edit the displacement map in photoshop? Did you open it and resave it by any chance?

If you did, you might have color management on which photoshop will automatically shift the values of grayscale to be more correct, which will scew your data from zbrush, make sure color management is completely off in PS.

nop, I've just exported it from zbrush to *.tiff, without any editing... it's really really weird... i don't know what to do...

In the material editor choose a free Bitmap slot and take your displacement map. Instance it to your Vray displacement mod. And now, in the Bitmap options, in Coordinates panel change Blur value to 0,01. :)
