ComLag 10-11-2006, 01:01 PM Hi there!
Firstly!
Feast your eyes on this;

Download the movie here;

(3mb - right click / control click and save)
MMMmmmm...
Secondly!
How do you think they rendered it?
My guess is Global Illumation... anyone got more of a clue than me?
Thanks alot

dont see anyth special with the render - ambient occlusion is the closest the got to GI, in my opinion... and simple, probably directional, light

Regardless, it looks very nice! I love this clean, PVC-model kinda look!

I have a feeling that its not quite as simple as just hitting the ambient occlusion button though. Even with a fair amount of setting fiddlings.
If you can find a movie clip of something that you know has been rendered using ambient occlusion and looks like the above let me know!
Cheers
Jim
