please somebody help me i'm getting some funny artifacts in my render on an image mapped on a vraymtl is there a different way to map images on a vraymtl?

pls i need help

on the circled area is where is meant to be a mapped image, but which appears that way on rendering, givin gthat type of funny artifact on the image.

the lighting setup is just one target direct with a normal vray setting with vray enviroment setting

would be much easier to help if you could show a picture... it's hard to see where the problem lies...

My first thought is co-planer faces.

well just as you mentiond it 'coplaner faces' if i understand well i guess it means single plane faces just like using a plane for the board right? well i'll try that but will soon get back on what ever i get, cos i got no much time to submit to client

Actually, coplaner faces are 2 faces existing in the exact same space. Imagine creating a
plane in max. then clone that plane, but do not move it. What you have now is 2 planes
sharing the exact same space. This is a big no-no in Vray. I get a lot of models made in
Autocad. I usually have to clean up a handfull of these coplaner faces.
