Would love to know about your workflow. Was this painted free hand or from a photo, over a photo or from scratch? What brushes were used?
Thanks

Very beautiful, snowdreamuu! It's so nice to see people posting their art here. I think many of us post in some of the other forums for our artwork. It would be good to see Painter art here...thanks.

yes, it is a good idea
but there are too many software for drawing ,so society here just sort by 2D AND 3D....

We've had a discussion about this already not too long ago. It's unnecessary to have software-specific galleries, since this community only make the distinction between 2D and 3D works. Having fragmented galleries will only complicate the structure of the forum, and it doesn't really add or improve anything. Most people today uses multiple applications to do their work anyway.

Personally, I'm not advocating a separate gallery for that very reason. Lately, I have been working exclusively in Painter, but much of my work has always been a combination of Photoshop and, at times, other programs.
I wouldn't mind seeing people post their artwork. It would be great to hear how people approach their work in Painter. Would that need to be done in the 2D forums? Sometimes it's difficult to know where to post what.
I know that a lot of the times I go to some of the other forums and they don't even say what program they used or how they did it. It's not like I explain everything myself. But I think there's a natural desire to see how people work and what they use.
Thanks,
Cris

ahaa-yeah, i agree with you 2
that's why society only spearate software only by 2d/3d, people even combine both 2d/3d to do one work!
well, not me , i always use painter only (maybe maybe some time to use ps a little ya ...)
I m a painter teacher in Shanghai, one of my dream is to let people prefer to paint in Painter~

Hello, Dreamuu.
How nice to meet another Painter teacher.
I guess I hadn't really noticed how all the forums were set up. Funny, how you can be around a set of forums, going about your business of learning, and looking and helping, but not notice things. I took a look at all the application specific forums and they were really centered on the more technical side of the application.
Showcasing of art seems to be the different galleries. This seems the most appropriate way to do this with the number of programs and the way so many work with multiple programs.
I do hope to see more technique discussion specific to Painter. Robert, if you're checking back on this thread...I have only seen links to tutorials and such in the forum...can we post tutorials and pieces on how we work when they are specific to Painter and do we put them in those designated threads?
Thanks,
Cris

Sure thing, why not? Typically, drawing/painting type tutorials get posted in the Art Techniques & Theories forum, but if it's one that's unique to Painter, then I don't see why they can't be posted here.
