I have a new Theme some of you may be interested in. Just sent it to the Repository-- I have no other way to host it currently.

Go to Preferences, File Paths, set the "Python" directory to where you want to keep your Python scripts (which includes themes, a theme is a python script). Put your theme file into that folder. Now go back to Blender and open up your scripts window, click "Scripts", then "Themes" and click on your theme. If you have multiple themes, once loaded as mentioned above, you can now change them in the Preferences window under Themes.

Hope that helps.

I thought Blender already comes with a "rounded" theme which is dark?

It does, but it's not nearly as dark as this one, more like a 50% dark. Plus, this theme is much nicer than all the dark themes I've seen recently.

I can install other themes, but this one just wont show up (even though its in my scripts folder).
I looked at the formating in the text view in blender, and it is formatted very differently from most other themes . Maybe my blender install is just not recognizing it as a theme.
Has anyone successfully installed this theme?

I have, works like a charm. But not originally...

...You have to be using Blender 2.42 for it to work I think. I was using the Blender that came with my openSuse install thinking it was the latest version, it wasn't. Download the latest version from Blender.org and try then. If you ARE using 2.42, then I have no idea, I'm a complete Blender noob, haha.

Thanks all the same.

Or you can open the script file inside Blender text editor and press CTRL+P, it will change the Blender's theme. Don't forget to check the file to see if it is really a python script, the first time I've downloaded it I got a html page... doh!:scream:

Kha you are right.
I noticed that the first file is actually an html even though it downloads as refined.py when you doa right click/ save as.

So now I got the right one, thanks gys.
