looks very good, now just tighten up the textures(face and base brown clothes...) and she will be ready for war! armour looks solid! also like the velvet gloves, nice touch.

I've got a few questions... :hmm:
What means FNG?
Why are the people who frequent the finished work forum so scary?
What are duds?
Animalmother - that's a beautiful model. Reminds me a lot of the Jeanne d'Arc tutorial character - maybe it's based on, isn't it?

Don't know,
Don't know, maybe they are very critical :?
"duds" - another word for clothes :D
EDIT: Very nice render!

looks great! You should post it in the gallery section!

The proportions seem a bit off.
The colours of the hair, face and that crystal on the sword are a bit dull.
Quite good though.

Joril- I think the head is too big...but I thought that was done on purpose....maybe not...

proton: It was indeed intended as a kind of manga-style character, But maybe you should check out the original model, made by a guy much admired...
IMO It is one of the best tutorials around.
But even so, things are not set in stone...

I don't know...
normally, I'd share those crits. But the way it is now just seems to fit an overall layout - head, colors = style.

Thx for the nice replies guys. They mean alot to me. :D
@Tommmi: FNG means "F***ing New Guy", a newbie or a beginner. :)
The ppl that are there are scary because they have tentacles growing from their heads. They also seem to be using alot of foreign words like "diffuse, specularity, glosiness, etc". :D
J. d'Arc is the tutorial i was talking about yes.
@proton: "looks great! You should post it in the gallery section!"
Uhh.. Maybe later.. *runs away*
@Joril: It does seem like the proportions are off, but the base model is totally lined up with the scetches.. I thought of the same thing when i put the body and head together, but this is how it is supposed to look when finished. In the end it all fits together. Or maybe i just worked on it for so long that i just cant see it heh. :)
But the textures will be tweaked..

I knew it!! :bounce:

With all their tentacles... they must be critters. :surprised
I think that's it! They always say "nothing to crit" when the posted image is well done and they don't want to say anything nice :hmm: :p
