Title: Prototype13
Name: Tae young Choi
Country: USA
Software: Painter, Photoshop
Hi, guys!
This is One of woman in the water illustration series. Recently, I am experimenting with beautiful thing I like. That is why I am painting these series. I think putting something in the water makes everything beautiful. Puting beatiful woman in the water, it's even better!
Originally, I wanted to create female robot warrior, prototype failed to succed. Even more mechanical look than right now, but I started liking its look, so I had to stpp and leave as it is.
I will do it another one later, actually working on it.
I used few reference pictures for this painting including my wife's picture.
Thank you wife for posing for me!
Yes, my wife is the most beautiful woman in the world!

I am impressed by your usage of your heavy brushstrokes to create the water's caustics effect. It is really interesting. The only thing is that her face stands out a lot due to the amount of work you spent detailing it. This in turn makes the rest of her body look somewhat shoddy in comparison.
However, I must say that it is still a really splendid painting.

I agree with Lamster, but nice picture anyway ! True though that the face stands out more than the rest of the picture.

Mostly I like your colours. You have also made a magnificant job with her face, but don´t know if it sticks out a bit..or the body sticks out. Maybe because of the kind of detail, against the more rough brush strokes in the water and body. But really good work. Like it.

Very nice! I love the color in this piece, and the subtle hint of cyborg leaves it up to the viewers imagination. Perfect.

Superb technique and coloring! 5 star work there. My only suggestion is to tell a little more story as to why or what the water she is in, is. It would be neat if it were outdoors and raining with all the ripples in the water.

Very interesting image! Nice colours and good job on the main figure. I'll agree with some of the other posters that the face dominates a little too much compared to the body because of the extra detail. The water effect you've created is quite nice; very unique. Great work!

Her face is more rendered then the rest of her body because it's not underwater. Parts of her chest, stomach area, part of her wrist, and of course her feet are also above the water's surface. It's easy to see. Anyways, she has a very beautiful face and I love the painting style and colors. Great job, Tae!

Thank you all for your coments.
Everyone is right. Water part of painting has too much painterly look, comparing other part.
I knew but I didn't want to make everything photo realistic. I liked the water with painterly look right now. Sometimes, balancing is the hardest part for me.
Anyway, thank you everyone who looked at my work and gave me your opinion.
I really appriciate it.

Nice! I love your colours. I agree with you, I would prefer it look painted than photo realistic. It looks much more interesting that way. If your wife is anything like that you are a lucky man! lol. You have some very nice work about. Oh by the way... I would change the link to your site to: http://www.tychoi.com (http://www.tychoi.com/index.html doesn't work) in your portfolio.
