I'm relatively new to ZBrush and don't really know much about the displacement map exporting and importing back into Maya. Even though I've read tons of FAQ/Tutorials etc. and followed them step by step I can't seem to get them working.
I have just afew questions:
1.) Can Multi Displacement 2 be used with Maya Software renderer and still use it in a way that alpha gain levels etc. are pretty much automatic? Every tutorial I've found bases it on a Mental Ray renderer.
2.) How much difference quality wise is there between 16 bit and 32 bit displacement maps, and if I'm concerned about render time, is the gain in quality really worth the longer wait?
3.) How do I find out what to set the alpha gain and alpha offset as when importing back into Maya for a 16-bit/non multi displacement 2 created map?
