Hi,

This is the message I get when starting my copy of Max 4.2
And yes it's a legal copy. Is there anyone who encounterd a similar problem and how can i resolve it???

I can't work at all with Max. So i can't export the license key either...

As far as I know, the 'csmxport.ms' script shouldn't be in the scripts/startup folder. At default, it's installed in scripts/utilities..

What else do you have in your scripts/startup folder?

Also, check folder: 3dsmax4/stdplugs/stdscripts.. These also run when max boots up.

in scripts\startup i have 5 docs:

CS3CustomKeys-presets.ini
geom_manipulators.ms
light_manipulators.ms
mod_manipulators.ms
ToggleManipulators.ms

And in the stdplug\stdscripts ar a lot of scripts like
CS3convertBips.ms
CS3Customkeys.ms

I think these are not default max4:

geom_manipulators.ms
light_manipulators.ms
mod_manipulators.ms
ToggleManipulators.ms

Maybe, disabling them works?

Well I can't get it working yet.

What i don't get is from what script is this errormessage from. I don't see the script containing the allert (-- Unknown property. "is Creating" in undefined)

If i could find that script then i will know what the problem is.

Will it give any problems if i just remove MAX and then reinstal it again????

my last option..

open explorer and go to 3dsmax4 folder

do a search (using 'Containing text') on 'isCreating'.

Here's what I get:

...3dsmax4\Maxscrpt.dll
...3dsmax4\stdplugs\stdscripts\addmodfunc.ms
...3dsmax4\ui\macroscripts\
     Macro_Cameras.mcr
     Macro_Compounds.mcr
     Macro_Dynamics.mcr
     Macro_Helpers.mcr
     Macro_Lights.mcr
     Macro_Nurbs.mcr
     Macro_Objects.mcr
     Macro_Particles.mcr
     Macro_Shapes.mcr
     Macro_SpaceWarps.mcr
     Macro_Systems.mcr

AFAIK, these are all standard max scripts, so the shouldn't give you the error.. so, see if you get any other scripts that could cause the problem..
