It's cool for the most part, but ... why are the trees floating? Is this on purpose? Also, the wood doesn't look real on the platform holding the bridge.

The trees arnt floating the trunks expand bellow and are obscured by the canopy bellow them. The textures used for the platform are straightford wood textures. As I have said in my profile I am a novice to 3D rendering and I am still learning to make my images more realistic.
Thanks for the critique.

Great work !
I like the ambient.
The tree in the middle right does not suit very well with the rest of the forest though - as the plants on the left platform by the way. Talking about these, they seem to be symetric (on each side of the bridgestep) and I think you should make them in a more random way.
Last thing : you should add a mist and replace the lights to create like a rising sun morning atmosphere. I could be nice...

I see now what you mean by the trees not floating, but the tree on the right doesn't look like its trunk goes below the platform due to the way the vegetation looks below it. I'd try to show more of the trunk below the platform because otherwise it creates an odd optical illusion. It really is a very pretty scene though. Nice job!

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll take up some of the points and try a re-render of the scene. As for the bridge model I cant remember where I got it from its a free bridge model adapted to fit my needs. As for the trees and plants they come as stock items within Vue 5. There are plenty of free tree and plant models out there that can be ported into vue, vue also comes with a built in tool for altering trees and plants to suit you needs.

I have re rendered the image at dusk and added a mist layer just bellow the tree canopy.

Yeah ! I like this one much more. The atmosphere is (for me) better now. Though the mist under the trees is a bit too thick and perhaps a bit too white for the time of the day. Shouldn't i be in the same color tone as the rest of the picture ? (like dark orange)
But great scene !
Just a last question : Can the platforms fly ? (I mean how are they linked to the trees ?)
