View Full Version : pivots/center
skello 02-03-2003, 08:20 AM Is there a way to move the pivot/center of a set of tagged points
in a way similar to maya's 'move pivot point'(insert key)?
i tried to use Deform>Custer Center ,and picking a null as the center; but the null dosen't seem to move the tagged points when i rotate or translate it:hmm:

nope you can't change a tagset center, and clusters' centers can become tricky quite easily.
there's a much better way to handle that tho and it's the ref mode.
reference (right clicking) will allow you to transform anything using the center of another selection or object.
I find rather convenient to have a null in the scene just to use as center.
move it wherever u want, rotate it according to how you want the selection to rotate and you are done.
all you need to do is select your tags or cluster and right click ref to pick an object reference.
