View Full Version : Vue 5 Infinite Animations by "Phoul"

Some of you may know "Phoul" , aka Philippe Bouyer. He's known to many in the Vue community as the animation master, and he does the promotional videos for Vue.

Philippe has released 2 animated scenes over at Cornucopia3D, for interested folks to check out and deconstruct. One is an ocean and island scene, the other is a nebula scene. Folks have been asking Philippe for tips and hints on his techniques as well as Vue 5 Infinite's animation features, so this is a great chance to see how he does it.

The Island (http://www.cornucopia3d.com/purchase.php?item_id=2720) features an animated procedural terrain; Nebula (http://www.cornucopia3d.com/purchase.php?item_id=2736) features animated materials. Both have some of Philippe's trademark camera moves.

wow that water scene is tight. I had all but given up on vue (till now). The people that are real good dont give up their secrets and the materials (training) that are out there, are not really stupendous. I hope in the future e-on does more training vids/books, that outline how to get these types of results.

I suppose it's a difficult balance between someone needing to keep their particular methods somewhat proprietary, and sharing information. Both Cornucopia3D and e-on are working on building their training/tutorial resources for users.

BTW, for folks who aren't familiar with "Phoul" or Philippe, he's not an employee of e-on software. He's an independent artist, and a very talented and nice guy. He is keeping prices of his scenes very very low so they're accessible to more people. It seems a shame to begrudge him a tiny profit from his expertise when he's also shared his expertise for free.
