Hi folks,
I want to make use of expression in the following simple situation. But cant figure out what the equation/mathematical function should be used for that [I’m so dumb:-(]

Ok, heres the situation:

There is one human character who is doing a walk cycle and I want the characters head to go back and forth while walking depending on the characters verticle movement.

Hence, what will be the expression used for the neck bone of the character, so that when the root bone (pelvis) of the character moves down (extended position of the legs) the neck bone will rotate backward and when the root bone moves up at its maximum height (passing pose) the neck bone rotates forward ?

Here the objective is to obtain the rotation value of the neck bone with respect to the vertical movement of the root bone.

I hope someone will come up with a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, might be a lot easier to control with a Reactor Controller - just set a state for the head when the walk cycle's in the down position and another state when it's in the up position. It's a flakey controller, but should work fine for what you're doing.

ahhh,
dude beat me to it shanky :).
That(reactor) would be a nice way to go.noone the less send me the file and i'll expression it ;) if you want it that way.

shanks...check out the modelling technique thread i posted in the general discussions...it's worth it ;)
