As u can see from the first part of the image I'm still workin with half of the model, cause it's DAMN hard to manipulate A FULL mesh made with splines.
Next step is to model his weapons - a SPEAR and a hatchet
Any comments on his clothes os welcome
I hope u guys like this as much as I do, OH and, PLEASE be gentle, I'm a BEGINNER in CG. :) :o
COMMENTS would TRULY be nice :)

Raul, he looks amazing! the clothing looks great, the anatomy is very good! The only thing I can see to crit are his calves, from the front they look a little funny. Great work, a beginner? We're not talking like a month of experience I hope! lol:D

I uesd 3dsmax, no rendering engine.
I'm glad to see u like it Toce.We met in rapf forum remember??
Tbonz816 - more to come on the clothing part,
The gloves are gonna be texture to look as bandages, I know, they were made 1 month ago, I gagned experience since then. I was unpatient to see the fool look and I put these gloves.
Really glad about the replies, I was kinda down. I was given the impression that it sucks.
:)
That's a great model you have going there. Yeah the calves do seem a bit funny (perhaps you could decrease the size of the calve muscle), but on the whole you have a wonderful barbarian like character going there. Keep it up man! Can't wait to see that thing when it's complete w/ weapons and armor.
Oh one other thing is that his thighs seem to tensed <where he exposes the two rippling muscles going toward the knee cap>.

I agree about the shoulders looking a bit strange btw...
and the missing nipples ;)

yeah, the problem with calve muscles.
I think the medial head of gastrocnemius (inner calve) bulges out too high upon the leg. The muscle comes out at a slight angle from behind the knee and peaks about 1/3 to 1/2 way between knee and ankle and tapers off quickly.
At the moment you have the opposite of that, it peaks quickly and tapers off slowly.
Your also missing alot of muscle definition on the outer side of the of calve. It seems your missing the shape and defintion that the Soleus muscle creates on both sides of the calve (it wraps around)
If you fixed that up it would balance out the lower leg alot.
Anyway, thats my muscle crit. Its a cool model, whoever gave you the impression that it sucks was probably jealous and on crack. Its good to maintain a level of confidence (not ego) that people can't kick in bLah blhalbh alhb lhablha lbhlhblhf

Hey, I remember that guy. He's looking good! :D
I have to agree about the shoulders, I think that is the only real problem I have with the musculature. I would try to get rid of the crease just above the bicept. But he looks great.
Splines you say? That is awesome. As far as the clothes go, I would just try to make them a little less symmetrical (maybe an arm band only on one arm, or one slightly bigger than the other.)
So did you model the arms at his side like that, or were they modelled held out and then rigged and moved down? (I hope that was clear.)
Well, good work.

wlau - I'll change those muscles A.S.A.P. it was very hard to model them anyway, AS EASY as it may seem.
vizion -shoulder, got it
schmu_20mol - nipples are gonna be added by texture AS WELL AS refinement to muscles.
toce - shoulders, YUP, now I really gotta do em.
Krugar - thx for muscle expaination , I'm RIGHT-HADED why??
chrom - thx.
If u guys want me to keep posted, just ask.

Very nice great sense of proportion
About the clothes : are those gloves on his hands? If yes i think u should extend them upwards like on the legs

I'd say two and take those girly feathers off him :) They make him look softer than his face and muscles suggest aye.
i reckon you should start texturing, add more character that way, or with those weapons you were gonna do?
IMO, IMHO

Thx for the words guys.
I thought about removing the feathers, I'm gonna have to do some more texturing for it.
And when it comes to texturing, i STINK, BIG time.
i mean I know the process, but my painting skills are REALLY bad.
Anyways I'm gonna post a new ver. with textures.
A question.
Is the lighting boring or anoying?
Would u like to see some "final render" kinda pics?

Raul, very impressive. I really like the style you achieved, also his body proportions are great.

it's a OK, it shows the details really well, but for the final model you should try a radiosity render.
