View Full Version : Texturing Poly's--unwrapping UV's
caffeineman 02-02-2003, 10:48 PM Ok..I have modeled this scorpion. and it's all rigged to be posed. Do I texture it before posing it? or should I just leave it in it's flat position, texture it, and then pose it?
Also...I have no idea how to start texturing this thing?
How should I go about doing this?

My style is that I pose the model in a way that it would be textures easily. If you need to rig it just to pose it, you could have modeled it in a manner that you have to rig it just to pose it. Models should be mapped on a neutral/relaxed position and then rigged for animation.
I suggest that you rig and then freeze it/remove history then aplly texture mappigs.
