A few months ago, my partner and I finished a music video for the band Inkwell. They are still up and coming but you might recognize the song from the Best Buy instore play cd. They also have a song on the EASports' NHL '07.
Anyway, we worked on this piece for about 5 months. The story follows a little boy trying to escape monsters, and his little sister coming to save him with the help of a robot friend. Its a mixture of cut out style, 3D, stop motion and classical animation.
Shane Douberly drew and painted just about every element in the animation as static pieces. His paintings set the visual feel of each shot. My roles included (basically) everything else. From modeling, to animation, to compositing and editing.
