Well, almost done with the book after two days of full immersion reading (70pages left).
I cant wait to start sketching but before all else... CASTING!

Wow, what a book! Awesome novel.
492 pages in three days (!!)
Thank you all for stoppin' by.
In the next days I will be a little less busy and I'll work hard on the challenge.
My auditions for the main carachters continue.
I dont know if i will go with this kind of approach - classical movie poster compo, in Struzan style, Star Wars, Blade Runner...you know what I mean ;) - but I wanna focus on my actors now.
- Patricia aka Jennifer Connelly (or someone like her):
- Lanier aka Robert Redford (yes,I know, maybe too old, and not 'amerindian' type but I think it should be a great great Lanier.)
- Mirsky aka Matthew Fox (yeeaah, LOL)

What a dramatic layout!
I find the figure is just too much in the center and it interferes with the depiction of the background. I would love to see her just to the left or the right (I can't decide which yet), the difference being whether she's facing into the light/danger, or more fleeing it. But as it is, the figure is so well balanced in the composition that it actually robs the picture of some of the 'edginess' that you are so well painting.

May I suggest a slight curve in her body? It's a little too straight, which seems to take away from the dynamic action suggested by the overall idea. Other than that, it looks like a good idea.

Wow, this time the challenge it's a little bit harder to me (I'm so busy at work and the night 'm soo tired). Anyway, I will do my best.
Thank you all for the nice words people. I'll post some new concept very soon.
@MartinNielsen, @nwiz25, @Waldoerick: thank you guys, glad you like this approach :)
@Ernest Burden: thank you Ernest, yes maybe you right but it's just a speed sketch to test some action pose and I don't like how coming out. Anyway I will check the composition in the next sketches:thumbsup:
@Beelow: Hi bryce, thank you for stoppin' by. I'll do my best:thumbsup:
@Sacha: Thank you Sacha, I'm in love with your Patricia:love:
@warpy, @dragginart: thank you:), but i dont know if this one will be my final concept...

Nice first concept, low angle gives good sense of huge size of the chambers. And a very dynamic composition.
Cool that you even got casting already covered:) Jennifer Connelly would be great for a role like Patricia that needs a little bit more than just a pretty face. However, as you pointed out, Redford is too old, isn't he like seventy or something... I don' t think a man he's age would be sent to space for a mission like this. I'm sure he would do fine as Lanier, but it would decrease realism.
Good luck for the challenge and keep postin'

The composition on the most recent drawing is a bit centric, thought I do like the pallete and sense of urgency. Just my thoughts.

Very nice emotion and angle in your concept... It gives a sense of worry and desperation and the low angle shot is a nice choice...

Be interesting to see how you detail this one, Specifically the buildings, as they are gestural now (looks gorgeous) or weather to continue to get refined and accurate buildings..
Unfortunately, i find architecture to be unforgiving when they become detailed (always a nit picky battle) They have to be placed right or im not happy, so i look forward to see how you tackle those structures. (didn't read wether it was a concept or wip, sorry, its midnight here).
Anyways best of luck with finishing!.

very strong and dramatic approach! I hope u'll stick to it or at least do something similar. But I find one thing a bit confusing right now... and thats that laser blast... does it come from space? or is a earth-earth like? Coz its not in the right perspective if it comes from space, but if its from earth, than its a bit confusing coz of the direction where it comes. I just thought I should point that out, but other than that its great!
nice concept!! looking good! good luck with the final :)

Ooook, I'm back and maybe its not too late for finish may entry.
8 days left, not bad (thinking at my deadlines at work: 1 day is too much!)
Thank you all guys, im really glad to see all this replies. I'll try to stop in all of your threads.
Well, this is a kind of sketchy lineart, cause i dont love to draw finished pencils, i like to paint straight to the plate and see how it works.
I'll do my best.
as always, be patient with my english and I will love you all forever.

I think that I cant finish my entry. So less spare time, so much busy at work. I'm really really tired at night to work on my stuff.
Here is the actual status of the Eon concept.
