hi,

does anyone out there have mel highlighting for the text editor Kate on Linux?

I know its a long shot, but scripting with only c+ highlighting is pretty painfull...

thanks

thanks sunit,
that actually look like a pretty cool editor.. and cross platform is nice.

I notice that it doesn't come with mel syntax highlighting, but then after a quick search, you can get one here..

thanks again

you can also display a function list and variables:

http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/tools/syntax_scripting/4012.html

editing the .conf file that comes with the download, you can filter exactly (using reg expressions) the items you want to display.

if you search on highend3d for jedit under the maya downloads you'll find a list of other customizations.
