Hi,

I recently bought a graphic tablet, and I'm really hyped to start using it in Photoshop, but i have a few questions. Is there any specific way to set the tablet (or the brush in photoshop) up to get a "paint-like" effect? I included a picture by this awesome artist named chrom to show you what style i am talking about:

Anything anyone could tell me would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

This loose style is mostly a default round brush with size set to pen pressure. you can get great results by trying various opacity levels. ragged elements like clouds are done with another brush. also experiment with a calligraphic brush and size on pen pressure.

I think its just a case of what you are trying to achieve

I always find my self switching between size/opacity for the penpressure setting, other than that I prefer to use a lot of custom brushes rather than fiddling around with brush settings

from the look of the picture you posted it looks like he may block in the main colours then add details on new layers and then adjust the opacity of each laer to get that effect - thats just a guess though:shrug:
