View Full Version : Help with realistic dynamics for swaying tree branches

This is my first attempt at dynamics in Maya. I used a wonderful tutorial by Derek Smart http://derekthesmart.com/tutorials/dynamics.htm . I'm just about finished now, however I have 1 problem, 2 branches are absolutely out of control, as seen here:

I'm not really sure why, if anyone can give me any hints if they've seen this kind of behavior, that would be a life saver, cause i really have no idea.

I re-did the dynamics for the branches that were out of control, but after moving onto redoing it for the rest of the branches, the out of control ones went out of control again. -_- I think i'm just too much of a novice to be doing things at this level. Shouldnt be trying to do things that I don't full understand yet.
