I'm not sure where I should/shouldn't post this on the Zbrush forum, but I'm in desperate need of a Zbrush license. Yes I'm one of those poor ex-students with XYZ amount of debt who needs commercial software to make some money in a LEGAL way (I know cry me a river...boo hoo). How badly do I need Zbrush? Well I'm selling my cherished copy of Fprime to pay for it.

I need Zbrush that bad- it's like I'm selling my digital kidney for it...

I'm willing to pay between $200-300 OBO for a windows copy of Zbrush. This is what a "used" license of zbrush seems to be going for over the last year. I don't need a manual or a box, just a legal, real version.

If it's a Mac copy maybe we can talk, but pixelogic would require me to buy a new copy at %50 normal cost to use it on my windows machine. If I only had a mactel computer my life could be simpler, but I don't!

please pm me here, or write me at: gbreazeal at yahoo dot com

You can get an academic version of Zbrush within your price range. Go here. (http://www.academicsuperstore.com/market/marketdisp.html?PartNo=734347)

I know, but I need to use it commerically! Sounds silly, but I don't make enough money right now to justify paying the 415 US some places are charging for it. If I did more than using 3D for illustration then I'd be able to afford this no problemo!

It's more complicated than even that- but we'll see. I'm thinking of offloading several things just to pay for it outright.

Besides- I "was" a student- not now!

I'll just keep the hope up that someone wants to part with their copy (I've seen it go for 200) and while I wait I'll keep putting pennies in the zbrush piggy bank.

In a way I'm glad to see people aren't willing to part with it so easily! Must mean that once you get your head around the UI it's hard to go back- I like that.

It's even cheaper here (http://www.studica.com/Pixologic/) right now, though that's not so helpful if you can't provide an up-to-date student ID.

I can't find any info on Pixologic's student license -- it may or may not prohibit you from working commercially. For this, you'd have to email support@pixologic.com (http://forums.cgsociety.org/support@pixologic.com) and ask.

Again, not so helpful to the former student. Might be worth going back to school over?
