I dunno know much about cars, so I don't know whether they technically look right
but I wish my punto had wheels like that, nice work
edit: actually looking at it again, those spokes do look a little thin, perhaps make them a little wider or add more of them
The tire rubber looks good imo. But I think the metal would look more convincing (surfacing-wise) with something to reflect. It's a little flat right now. And pink-ish. Lighting on that maybe?
Keep working and add a reflection map or something. What package are you using?

The metal structure is perfect, ;) IMO they doesn't need to be any wider. The metal material is an entire other suject :shame:
About the rubber, those wheels are for a Ferrary or a F1 Car, if they are for a normal street car then you should move the street contact surface more away from the steel, you don't want your passengers having an horrible accident caused by an tire explosion, do you?
Thanx for the feedback.
Let me start with which software im using, 3D Studio Max, the pinkish is because of my lightning setup. Its just a test, but I think that beening a little alternativ give a quite good mood. The tire is actually by the brand Falken. believe it or not those tires are widely sold in europe and Denmark (where Im from). And are used on ordinary streetcars.
Im working on some reflection, maybe some HDRI lightning/reflect. Ill post more images as soon as I get on with the project (a little hard with my stinky day job).
Talk to you soon
Peter
While you're playing with the reflection properties, don't forget to add some fresnel effect. I'm not sure how Max handles this, but I'm sure it can. Anyway, a little fresnel and some microbump will really flesh out the metal. And while I like the idea of adding some depth from lighting, maybe bring in a slightly blue splash to balance out the pink. The coloration is a bit distracting, IMO.
