Greg bear is my favorite author out of the Sci-Fi Genre', so it is quite the honor to participate in this challenge.

My goal at this point is just to finish the project as I have yet to get past the initial concept stages on any of these challenges do to work and wife stealing me away.

Eon is a great book with tons of potential images already popping in my head, I don't think the concept will be hard to come up with.

Hehe, yeah work gets in the way of a lot of things I'd like to do. When I get ideas at work I come home with a lot of really tiny sketches on post-its. Welcome, my friend, and good luck!

Thanks for welcoming me to the challenge. There is one thought that always re-occurs to me from the book. The main character at some point remembers sailing on the lake in the middle of the city inside the asteroid. This just seemed so absurd as to be interesting. I can just imagine one of the various people up on the asteroid doing research, takes a break and goes sailing. They could be taking a nap on the boat... But as they are out relaxing, the war starts. Kind of a calm in the center of the chaos... Could be a really strong image, and be a bit humorous as well... Any thoughts?

This weekend I will hopefully have an hour continous, uninterupted time to biuld the sketch. Trying to finish up a couple of freelance projects, that came up rather suddenly.
