Hey, wow so many warm welcome ! Thanks so much, I'm very happy to see you all around here. Please pardon me if next week I will be not so absent but I have a hard week of teaching at school and I have to prepare the student fro exams, so it will ahve a very little time to come to see yours entry or mine.
During this time I will try to understand the story too, until I didn't find the book in italian, will try if I can find it in french... but I'm pretty sure that I don't have the time to read it all. So I will try to understand a bit the main philosophy and style and try to find a good skecth concept fot it...
At this time (als Landscape architect) I'm interested about the The Seventh chamber
Ahead stretched an arrow-straight road, about half as broad as the sixth chamber highway and made of the same material. To each side of the road, sandy hummocks topped with stiff yellow grass dotted the floor for several kilometers. A short hike away were stands of low, scrawny trees. To the west, up the curve of the chamber floor, Patricia saw small lakes and what looked like a river emerging from one of the cap tunnels.
A few fleecy clouds clung to the cap. The landscape was equally homogenous and bland right up to the limits of the tube light both east and west. The plasma tube itself emerged from the center of the cap in a straight, unobscured beacon.
will see...
Julien

Agreed. The yellow tones make the picture seem very warm and welcoming. Like it so far, still lots of work to do though. :p
Same for me. I'm so far behind people, struggling to find time to read.

Nice little sketch Dog. I like the yellow colour, it seems like no one is taking into account that the light inside the rock will be artificial. So things won't look exactly natural.

Very nice - the thumbnail immediately caught my attention, and they say that's a good thing. Yellow-brownish makes total sense considering the strange environmental circumstances here, and it's kind of hard to shake the habit of adding blue bounce - there's no bleedin' sky in there!

Very interesting first concept! I agree in that your choice of color is making this really strong. If you can go with it without making the scene look like desert I think it will be awesome. Goody :)

Stéphane:
merci ;)

yep the sketch is really precise, is a try to put on paper some ideas, but I'm happy that you like the atmo.
TheSoracle - Steven:
well yep... A LOT of work :wip:...
soapy - Jim:
That's true it was thi idea of artificial world to give me this input... I will try to escape from a to rigid interpretation of a 'landscape' and try to give some strange impression into the chamber... hope I will reach this result on my work, especially the problem of perspective of this chamber... it look bigger als the other if I correctly understood the part of the book (reading the small chaper here in the resume).
James:
Thanks so much, I hope that I can translate this into the final work too...
ihamid:
Thank you
shakes - John:
Thanks ;)
gardogg - Gary:
hem hem... yep probaly (but I'm sure) I will no have occasion to read the book until the end of the contest, so reading the resume here in the challenge presentation I try to do something with sense and add my own personal interpretation.

Thanks so much

yep this time I will escape from the classic architectural concept to join the landscapes... Hope to transform a concept to a strong image too...

ok... this week-end I will work more on some progress on my ideas...
have a ice friday 13th ;)

nice sketch, clearly readable and cool.
it look bigger als the other if I correctly understood the part of the book (reading the small chaper here in the resume).
as for the characteristics of the chambers ( i take it this is the 7th chabmer since i coulndt make out an end) they are having a diameter of 50 km and are built like valeys if with the plasmatube in center is the lightsource. there's atmosphere in the chambers as well as generated weather such as snow, storms, rain...
also a nice inspiration could be the atmospherical barriers the stoners built in, sort of an iris if i got that right. since plasma has a very wide range of possible colors and structures, possibly all thinkable effectlights offer :)
keep up the great work mate, looking forward to see your next update old friend :)

Hello all...
I'm really sad  to tell you that for sure I'm out for this challenge. My ammount of work in this period is too much to find time to work enough for this contest. And this situation will continue until January.
I really don't want to do something in rush and made it badly. So I have to renounce and continue to watch you great jobs. Many thanks for your support and of course to a next occasion on a future challenge.
Best wishes
Julien
