Ok, finished the book and I've decided to go with this scene. It's the part when Patricia is first introduced to the 7th chamber and she realizes that it doesn't end.

Since the "3d Scene" entries are judged more on the modeling, I will solely concentrate on designing and modeling the truck, Patricia, Farley, and Lanier. No need to worry about modeling the chamber, although I will model in some landscape detail nearby.

So happy that for once I have a clear-cut path of where I need to go with this. :)

SweD

aaaahhh ! a concept ! :D
I see this chapter you talk, and your vision is as i've seen in mind. I don't worry for the scale and waiting to see how you'll manage the depth of the 7th chamber.
Nice first rough too for the truck  go on friend !

Here's the concept I made for the truck. I tried to stick with the description in the book: six steel-spoked wheels (didn't bother drawing the spokes) with a "Snowcat" appearance. I also thought it would be good to give it a military look since the whole "Stone" operation was pretty much under military control.

I don't think I'll draw the front view since I pretty much know how it will look based on the side ortho view and my references. I'll probably make a bunch of it up as I model along anyway. :)

I think I'll model the truck next before jumping to the characters.

Hey great start! I just read through that sectionof the book the other day and instantly recognized it from your sketches. I really like your truck design, very cool. You might need some ladders on the side? Looking forward to watching this one develop. Cheers.

ChewyPixels
10-18-2006, 02:23 AM
@ ramy badie --> Thanks for dropping in. Yeah, I can picture what the scene will sort of look like in the end. It's just a matter of getting the whole thing finished on time. Of course, I still need to worry about details such as clothing design for the upcoming characters and such, but I'll worry about those things later. :D

@ soapy --> Thanks soapy! This was the second scene that caught my attention when reading the book... the first being the one where Patricia transfers from the shuttle to the OTV. There were a lot of other great scenes, such as the Russian's invasion of the Stone (my fav), but I figured this one was more do-able for me than the rest.

As for the truck, that red object in the concept is supposed to be a ladder. Don't know if the concept will actually work well for me until I get well into the modeling. We'll see. I'm sure I will be able to figure something out. :)

ok, so great to be here!

part one of the challenge: FUN FUN FUN

i guess your truck looks much more functional than mine
defenitly like the army-kind of vehicle. Maybe you can work that out some more. I think you could get some nice detail ideas out of the hummer design!

anyway, don't think about what you can do, but about what you want to do, and beat it out of ya!

Finally had some time to finishing up the wheel for my vehicle. All subd's except for the brake system, which are low poly. The brakes won't be seen much anyway.

The materials are just preliminary. Trying to get an idea of where to go with coloring.

Moving on to uv mapping them before I jump into modeling the body of the vehicle. Crits welcome. :)

Yesss, definitely fun! I just need to work out getting more time to work on this. I can already tell you that getting a vehicle and 2-3 characters finished in 3 months time will be a challenge. Looks like I'm going to have to adopt your sleeping pattern. :D

About the Hummer, I'll google that and see if I can get some ideas.

good start jedi;

about uv-mapping, i think it's safer to do modeling first and when it all is finished you do the rest. If you happen te redo a part or piece, you don't loose the work you put into uv-mapping and so.

how did you model the tire? I don't smooth mine cause it already has too much polys. All tires make out most of the polys from the complete truck.

have you tried to model a tire the way i discribed in my thread? It's very fast and easy.

cheers

ChewyPixels
10-22-2006, 07:19 PM
@ Nothingness --> Good point. I wouldn't want to do more work than I need to. :banghead:

For the tires, they were already modeled before your post. I sort of used the same technique, except for the fact that I didn't create a circle and measure. I just played around with the number of duplicates till I got the result I wanted. Thus why it too me longer then it should have. Oh well, live and learn. Btw, when you mention measuring the circle, do you mean with the distance tool in Maya? I don't know since I never really used it.

Nothingness
10-22-2006, 07:26 PM
yeah,

at the messure tools, you can use the Arc Lenght tool to messure the length of a curve. That way if you have half circle, you can messure distance on the curve itself.

cheers

Just had a look at your thread and both our vehicles are VERY similar!!! Send me a PM when you get a chance and we'll try and work something out... if we both change our designs a bit I think we should be able to hide any distinct simularities?

Think we've both been using the same images of the net.... That'll teach me for using 'Google' for reference material!

@ Gunilla --> Thanks for the compliment. Depending on how things go, I might not get to modeling the chamber. My goal is to get the vehicle, Patricia, Lanier, and part of the surrounding environment modeled into the scene. I'd also like to model Farley, but at my current rate...I don't think that will happen. I'm basically going for a "conceptual 3d model" scene, sort of a model diorama.

Don't worry about it Steven. Your design looks more like a Snowcat anyway. I didn't want to make my model look too Snowcat-like. :) I'm trying to give mine more of a military-type look to it. Besides, I only need to replace the rear bar for something else.

The vehicle looks appropriately functional to me... In your initial sketch, it looks like there's not enough scale, and I guess you'd have to consider sizing everything related to the surroundings up by a factor of 10 at least, probably more. Other than that, this looks like a solid piece modeling to me, good job so far.

Minor update.

I ran into a problem. After modeling the doors, I realized that they would be awkward to open. I didn't think the design for the doors too well. Hmm, anyone have any ideas? I'll brainstorm for some ideas tomorrow. Perhaps I can come up with something before I continue with this.

ChewyPixels
11-04-2006, 03:41 AM
@ soapy --> Thanks.

@ JamesMK --> Yeah, I agree. Initially, when I first came up with the concept, I had planned on modeling part of the chamber as in the sketch. After skimming through the EON FAQ, I decided to change my plans. Now I'm concentrating on creating a 3d diorama...sort of like those military dioramas that plastic kit builders like to make. It will consist of the vehicle, Patricia standing on top of the vehicle looking into the distance, and I hope to have enough time to model Farley climbing out of the driver's side with Lanier helping her down. The only environmental piece would be the immediate ground that the vehicle and the characters are on. The trick here is to get all of this done on time. :)

hobo
11-04-2006, 07:57 AM
That's coming along nicely. As to the doors, they might have a mechanism as such.

they are opened with a button. When you press the button they come out horizontally about 6 inches or so, and that reveals hinges. Hope you understand it, hope I understood your question. :)

2 thoughts on the doors:
-how bout wing doors, opening towards the roof (like those some sportscars have?)
-in manner of accesabilety from the ground you could then put the door opener into a lower position.

@ hobo --> Thanks! I'm going to save the doors for later when I start modeling the interior of the vehicle. Thanks for the idea. Might just put it to use. :)

@ MediaCyborg --> Yeah, me too!

@ TheFirstAngel --> Thanks Sacha! For the doors, I plan to work on them later when I model the interior portion of the vehicle. Yeah, I did think about the "gullwing" idea too, but it would change the overall look of the vehicle in order for it to work. So, I decided against it. Although, I might just go with your suggestion with the lower handles. It might just work, but I'll worry about that later. :)

details details details ...

yeah ...

i love details !!

now you are getting some character in the vehicle. Pumping it up. I was thinking about doing a 'pimp my ride' version of the truck, but with the time i'm loosing cause i'm without a computer, it'll have to wait.

anyway, i don't think the doors opening to the top would work - practicly speaking! Because the back side of the door has a streight vertical side, scissor doors are more likely. If the door opens to the top, try and close it if you can reach that far :argh:

also, it's sad to head of the graphics-card problem. In a desktop model you can replace it easily. But in a laptop? :banghead:

and yeah, i had 3 problems at the same time, but one is already solved! I ordered 2 hdd's from WD (500gig) and one was malfunctioning on arrival. The other was the battery for my laptop but i got a replacement 24h after i contacted them. And you know about the cooling from my powermac

accidents come in 3's. :banghead:

keep up the good work man!

Very nice work so far man. For the doors, you can open them up in different ways... Like the Lamborghini Diablo (http://www.topspeed.com/IMG/crop-580x435/lamborghini-diablo-0160_9w.jpg) or in a diagonal line up like this mercedes (http://static.flickr.com/53/178475124_0c9a4c46e6_m.jpg) like wings as Sacha suggested see this mercedes (http://prometheus.med.utah.edu/%7Ebwjones/C1516441744/E20050830171054/Media/1955%20Gullwing.jpg) or suicide doors like this (http://www.autoinnovationz.com/suicidegallery.htm). Hi there Jesus, Great work so far. I didnt know the vehicle could do that 180 spin thingy, i am reading the book (very slow reader...LOL) and i have not got to that part yet. Could you bring me up to speed so I can do those changes to my concept. Cheers Mark

@ Tuan --> Thanks fro dropping by. Your buggy modeling is kick-ass! :buttrock:

@ Taavi --> Thanks! I'm glad you like it. :bounce:

@ Mark --> I don't have the book anymore. I grabbed it from the library and it had to be returned. Sorry. However, I do remember that the book wasn't very specific as to how the spinning worked. It only mentioned that the vehicle was capable of spinning around it's center axis. So, my design isn't the only option. You can always have the vehicle turn at both the front and rear...you know, front and rear steering. This way it would still be able to spin around a full 360 degrees. I hope this helps. :)

steven-pendrous

I really like the 'spin' you've put on your vehicle design with the centre pivot... and some nice clean modeling skills as well!!!

Have you thought about mapping at all yet? I'm always in two minds whether to sort out the UV's for each component as they are completed or wait until the whole vehicle is assembled before I start mapping... Just wondered what you're planning?

ChewyPixels
11-21-2006, 11:21 PM
Hey Steven. Yeah, I'm usually of the same mind...model something then uv map it. However, I think this time around I decided to finish up all the modeling for each element in the scene first before uv mapping. A lot of the modeling is not even planned out. So, I'm afraid that I'll model and map something and then decide to change it. Don't want to create more work for myself than I need to, especially considering the amount of time we have left.

Just saw your to-do-list for the car, no big things, but time consuming of course, hope you find enough spare time to complete this soon, I'm so curious to see the next steps here!

Have a nice day!:)

:bounce:@ Mark --> I don't have the book anymore. :)

Thanx for ur help my friend

I think I am finished with the truck. I might have to change a few things here and there as I create the textures and shaders.

I took a good while researching the interior of the headlights (not shown) and am satisfied with the way they turned out, but I won't know if I was successful until I texture, light, and render them out.

If there's anything that doesn't look right, let me know now as time is running out. I don't know if I should move on to uv mapping and texturing or if I should start on Lanier and Patricia. I guess I'll have to make up my mind soon. :)

@ kmyow --> Hmm, I have some of the early wip meshes, but not all. I tend to save a lot of different versions and decided to start deleting some as the list was getting quite long. :D Besides, I don't think I would be qualified to make a tutorial on vehicle modeling just yet as this is my first! I'm sure there are more experienced vehicle modelers out there with good tuts.

In terms of techniques, I used mostly poly modeling and subd techniques. A few boolean operations as well. Nurbs were used too for the cylindrical modeling such as the ladder. Whatever does the job. :)

@ Mark --> Thanks! Yes, I did keep this in mind when I modeled the rear ladder. At first, it would have been in the way, but a simple extension of the rear flatbed remedied this situation. So, there is plenty of clearance room for that. :)

I have not had much time to work on my entry with all the holiday shopping, planning, and festivities going on. Also had some work that ate up a LOT of my time. :( However, I did manage to squeeze some time to finish the uv mapping on my vehicle. No sense in showing all the uv mapping on the whole model so I've decided to show just a little bit. Ideally, I would have liked to have been finished with the texturing on this bad boy at this point in the challenge. As it stands right now, I highly doubt that I will finish on time. While creating my shaders for the vehicle, I came up with a new concept for my entry. I know, I know...11 days left, but I think this one is more original. The scene will consist of the vehicle and the campsite that the Eon crew has set up as they study the gates. There will be no characters in the scene. Let's just say that the crew is sleeping at the moment. :) I might throw in some smoke rising from a recently extinguished fire near the campers. There will no animation other than the camera movement and possibly the smoke. Well, I guess that's it. Now let's see if I can make the deadline. :)

This is the low-res base for the main shelter at the campsite. It will be the largest object in the background, so I am thinking about giving it a sculpting pass and render it with displacements. I've been playing around with the animation that I have planned for my entry. I'm liking what I have so far, so I think I will stick to this one. The final frame pictured here will be the final print resolution that I will submit (hopefully).

I am worried about what solution to use to fill the green area that I have in the pics. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't know what would be the easiest and quickest method to "fake" an environment while still making it look like it belongs within the cylindrical chamber. Modeling the chamber would be highly impractical. Still, it's one of the most important elements in my scene since it will be somewhat reflected off the vehicle. Anyone have any tips/suggestions? Have I bit off more than I can chew, so to speak?

Well, I guess it's off to modeling/texturing the road and the surrounding terrain.

I started hand painting the textures for my vehicle, but my progress was going too slow. With only 7 days left, I decided to go with procedurals with a bit of hand painted color maps. This is what I have so far. The only problem with this method is the inability to add realistic weathering to the textures. I'm not too familiar with creating shaders either, so that doesn't help the situation. In the end, I'm afraid that my vehicle will look a bit too clean.

Doing some more tests on the shaders. Almost there...I just need tone down the reflection on the metal. Not going for the super shiny/reflective car look. Again, not enough time to spend on the texturing so these will have to do. More updates later today. Time for some sleep.

Hey Jesus,

of course no crits on the modeling of the tents and chair, looking good!:)
And I also like the paint shader for your vehicle...Because this will be your main scene element you should really spent some time with the texturing, your using Maya, right? So I can not really offer a quick solution, but with your clean unwrapping it shouldn't be such a problem to create a blend between your procedural paint shader and some handpainted dirt maps:shrug: ...
Giving the vehicle a weathered and used look will add a lot to the scene I think!
And also no crits for the planned animation... I see the problem with your green area, not really a striking idea for this, but how about showing a part of the huge cylinder cap as the background?

Hi Sabrina. Yeah, I would really like to add some dirt maps to the vehicle. However, with so few days left, I doubt I will have time for that. I'll continue with the procedurals and add the dirt maps later if time allows. I'm already doubting myself on getting this one done on time. I still need to add the environmental details such as a bit of grass and stones using Maya's PaintFX. I also had plans for some environmental detail using displacements. Oh yeah, almost forgot...a matte painting for the far background. :argh: So much to do yet so little time. I really wish we had an extra week added to this challenge. :banghead:

I really like your idea about the animation... At first I thought you were going to have the truck move in it as well.

Things are looking very well. I really hope for you to make it all in time.

As for your little problem/question:
I don't think you should have too much a problem with the Green parts... since the tunnel is not with dirt only on the bottom of it... the whole circumference seems to be covered with scenery.. And some distance from the road, there are a series of low trees. A height is not given but I presume something in the lines of Mediterranean landscape... not sure.

In any case, the layers of trees and shrubs in the distancing would tend to cover all of your background sooner or later (with a little distorted perspective of course)

The way I see it... you wouldn't exactly have to go through the trouble of modelling out the whole tunnel if seeing it in reflections is the only worry. I believe setting an HDRI globe or cylinder upside down would pretty much provide the illusion and I doubt it would be as much work or render expensive.

Refference that you may find useful (from page 69):
To each side of the road, sandy hummocks topped with stiff yellow grass dotted the floor for several kilometres. A short hike away were stands of low, scrawny trees. To the west, up the curve of the chamber floor, Patricia saw small lakes and what looked like a river emerging from one of the cap tunnels.I do agree that a series of dirt maps would help a lot to the scene... but it seems that "getting dirty" is literally something that does not happen in the stone... in fact it is a reason that people wore slippers instead of shoes in the cities. And the marines really complaining about not having any serious action in their duties there, would sort of be obligated to do some serious cleaning and maintenance.

As for the rest of the modelling so far, I have to honestly say that I had never really pictured the vehicle ... or how it may look... since I never exactly thought of using a scene with it.

But I really like your approach.
And now as I skimmed through some parts of description about it... I thought that you were pretty much on the track. I hope to see you finish this...

Good Luck!
(Hey maybe if we ALL ask nicely they will give us another week?. :) )

Great to hear that the deadline has been extended! Still, I will surprise myself if I get this one done on time.

I have the textures painted for the individual tents. I threw in a bit of reference to Mr. Bear himself with the logo on the tent. I though it would be cool. I still don't know about the color scheme. I can always change that before final render. Actually, I might throw in various colors instead of just sticking to one. If anyone has a nice color scheme recommendation, let me know and I just might throw it onto one of the four tents in the scene. I thought about adding some dirt, but since these would be in the distance...I decided against it. In fact, the bump map that I have there might not even be necessary in the end. However, I will stick with the sculpted displacment map.

Hi Black. Thanks for the great ideas! I'm thinking about going with a matte painting for the missing pieces in the background. I might also add a few trees/shrubs for good measure. :)

I was really considering adding a hdri for the reflections and as a fill light for the scene, but I don't have any in my collection that would work for this particular scene. Hmm, maybe I can look into creating my own. I guess it depends on the time. I'll be continuing my texturing on the large tent in the background first. I'll then worry about the rest later. :D Good luck with your entry. I'm liking what I see so far.

I see you're making good use of the extra time, the texture for the tent is really nice, and cool idea for the logo of course:thumbsup: ...Hard to say if this coloring will work in the final scene, maybe they are a nice contrast...but if you don't like the outcome my first thought for this would be a more military touch, olive/green or camouflage:shrug: ...just depending on the rest of your environment.

@ Sabrina --> Thanks for the tips. I took note of it and made the adjustments. I hope you like the change. :)

@ nwiz25 --> Thanks Neville! I'm glad you like it. :) Also, thanks for the push cuz I'm going to need it to finish this project on time.

P.S. I just saw your finished entry and it totally blows me away! Definitely on of the better entries. You rock! :buttrock:

Now that the deadline was extended you might have the time you need to finish your model.

BTW nice touch Bear touch on the tent :)

Definitely like the second version of the tent better. Much more in place with the rest of the scene. Looks great too! Keep up the good work.

Hey Jesus,

Good work. Makes me motivated. How did you do the tent kind of cloth material. I don't have Maya cloth. If you did something other than Maya cloth Let me know.

the new coloring of the tent is much better for my taste, very good:thumbsup: !
And now eagerly waiting for the next update, time is running, go go go!:bounce:

@ Angel --> I hope that I do finish now that we have the extra time :crosses fingers:

@ leving --> Thanks. I agree...fits into the scene better.

@ digikris --> Nah, the cloth was sculpted as a displacement. Haven't fiddled around with cloth dynamics, yet. :)

@ Sabrina --> Thanks for the undying support! :bounce: I'm glad you like the new coloring on the tents. Next update is up. Let me know what you think. :) I hope to have the time and perseverance to finish this one time. We'll see. Next up is a "quick" environment.

I adjusted the alpha gain in the color balance of the displacement map. At first , I thought that it was too strong so I toned it down about 50%. After looking at the results, I think this one looks better. Alpha gain is set to around 0.75.

Enough tweaking on this one. I'm off to begin the environment.

Took a break from the environment work and created the simple shaders for the chair. Used a more green tone for these for color variety. No need for detailing as these will be in the distance.

The base shaders are done for the vehicle. Not going to mess with them anymore other than some minor adjustments after final lighting/rendering setup is decided on. I'm going to paint some quick textures for the rear bed of the vehicle as it's just too plain and simple as it is right now.

Here's the finished texturing on the rear bed/platform for the vehicle. As you can see from the top left render, the modeling was very simple and introduced very little details. So, I decided that I would have to add the details through texturing. Of course, it's not perfect, but it will have to do.

Note: This will be the only piece of the vehicle that will have painted texture maps. The rest of the vehicle has shaders applied...some with and without procedurals. With only 8 days left, I need to move on to the environment.

Thanks Bartosz. :) I decided against painting anymore textures for the vehicle. I just do not have enough time. I need to use my remaining time to create an environment for the vehicle and the camp. Wish me luck, because I'm going to need it. :argh:

P.S. Wow! I'm on my 1000 post! :D

Hey Jesus, sweet work on the texturing part. Too bad you have too litle time left. But a little advice for your next texturing work: don't hold back too much! Not to create better texturers, but maybe that way you can work faster and more expressive on it. This is something i learned this challenge. I spend - for example - way too much time on the texture and displacement for the tunnel in my scene, and ended up spending more time on it to get it looking less artificial. Then i started all over again, and finished it more rapidly with a simpler shader and much more displacement. And best thing is it still renders fast enough.
so i discovered i lost much time by the way i worked on my scene.

but anyway, good luck on the environment.

cheers

Hey Jesus,

the painted texture map for the platform is excellent:thumbsup: , too bad that you have not enough time to do it similar for the rest of the vehicle...but the rest I've seen so far looks good though and now I'm really curious to discover what you can do for the environment in the little time left...I guess you'll have a very busy weekend now...good luck for the final steps:) !

After wasting 3 good days trying to troubleshoot rendering displacement maps within Maya ("out of memory" issue), I gave up and had to set up a quick environment today. Really upset since I spent some good time sculpting high res displacements for the environment and road. Oh well...you win some you lose some. Anyway, here's the first tests using Maya's paintFX. I'm a newbie to this, but I'm satisfied enough with the results. Going to paint up some texture maps for the road. Time's ticking away!

Hi Jesus,

I'm really looking forward to seeing your final scene... your modeling is great!
I also think that the grass will look absolutely perfect within your finished composition (I'd guess that most of the focus will be on the vehicle and camp anyway?).

Best of luck!!!

Here it is. My final still for the EON challenge. So sorry for the crap quality. Only 150kb upload limit sucks. Anyway, the image is far from what I would have liked to have taken this, but you know how it is with these challenges. I'm just happy I actually reached the end. All post work was done today, not counting the time used for rendering.

About the image: I'm trying to replicate what an evening within the stone would be like. With the plasma tube, there is no darkness...only soft diffuse lighting running constantly. So there are no harsh shadows. Of course, the lighting is far from perfect, but it is my best representation with the little time that I had left. Here we have the "Snowcat" like truck parked at the edge of the infinite road while Patricia and team sleep before returning to their trip along the 7th chamber.

Forgot to upload post effect/compositing milestone. Here's an example of separate passes that I used for my final still image. The "beauty" render of the vehicle you see here actually took some tweaking in Photoshop to get it to look the way it does here. Also need to mention that I used two photographs for a quick and dirty matte for the background. All post work done in Photoshop in 3-4 hours due to the limited time. Now I need to hurry with assembling the final animation.

Unfortunetly, I ran into too many problems trying to convert my final animation into .flv format. I just couldn't get satisfactory quality. All my conversions were coming out greenish in color and extremely pixelated. Noticing that time was down to the last minutes, I decided to upload one of the crap vids that I had, but it seems it was too late as I don't see it anywhere. I guess in the end I just didn't make it in time, even though I spent a good hour or so trying to convert my video properly. Ugh, this sucks!! :banghead:

Your not the only one that ran into last second issues with encoding. Heck I did not start my animation rendering till last night and what I posted was a single untouched pass. How sick is that. Anyways the one trick I did learn is you can hand type the bitrate in instead of using the highest default. I ended up using something like 15,000 for it just to get the horrid results I did.

But in the end you did a great job on your entry I love it. Congrats and good luck!

SweD
02-01-2007, 12:36 AM
:argh: i'm seeing the uploader now and the videos uploas is effectively unavailable...

just for a conversion problem..... the .flv is maybe the best for uploading, because lowrange and light but not for quality, even if you increase the bitrate.
Must i understand that your entry is not completed ? This will be a second sad news after Nico.

Anyway, it was and is a pleasure to follow your work, even if i don't post all the time, i'm here and appreciaite all the work and style.

Hi Jesus,

Sorry to hear that you hadn't managed to upload your final entry... you'd done a great job on the modeling!!! Time and hardware were definately top of the list for causing the most problems for a lot of people. Don't now about you but I still found the whole experience one hell of a learning curve and extremely useful!!!

Anyway, once again well done:thumbsup:... hopefully I'll see you at the next challenge(?)

Hey guys. It appears that my final animation did go through, but for whatever reason...I'm not showing up on the "finished" entries page. I had uploaded 2 previous animations that did go through in time, but they were showing up as black on my galleries page. So I had to remvove these and try to upload a new one. Finally, my third submission did go in properly. However, I'm pretty sure it came in past the final submission deadline. Regardless, I e-mailed Mibus about this and hopefully I will be moved into the "finished" entries page. Crossing my fingers.

Hey everyone. Unfortunately, my entry was not submitted in time. I finished all the work with around 43 minutes to spare, but I just ran into way too many problems trying to convert my animation into .avi format. It turns out that the Riva encoder could not convert an uncompressed .avi. By the time I figured this out, the challenge was over. I submitted anyway hoping that it will still be considered "on time," but I got the e-mail from Mibus yesterday afternoon stating that it was too late. Extremely upsetting, but what can you do? In the end, I just did not have enough time to polish my piece as well as I would have liked to. I mean, the "final" still was put together in around 3-4 hours...and it shows. Deifinitely would have liked to have spent at least a week on post-work. Also, I didn't have enough time to make my animation as good as it could have been. I had plans to comp all these different passes together, such as grass, shadows, etc., but I had to stop my computer from rendering the remaining passes as there was no way that it was going to finish on time.

Anyway, I am happy that the challenge is over. It was fun and a great learning experience, but stressful during the last days. Now I can move onto new and better things. Plus, I can finally relax a bit and sleep some more. :D I would like to thank everyone for dropping by and wish the best for those who did finish on time. Until the next challenge...:buttrock:

P.S. @ Chandro --> The final still could be seen on page 10. Not the best, but it is the best I can do with the limited time I had.
