This sure is interesting! Quite dynamic too! I would subdue the color pallette right now a bit.. and pump it up at final stages.. that way you can focus better on rendering. Anyway I look forward seeing what you come up with! Good luck!

Really nice design so far - both the overall concept and the smaller individual parts. I like the second to last color concept a bit more as it had really nice contrasts between the oranges and the greens, and now yo've gone a bit mroe monochromatic. But just my opinion. Good luck with the rest of it!

Very nice concept the color theme is intriguing I like it. The detail is very well done. I also like the bizzare angles used, it provides an interesting etheral look to the enormity of the scene.
The only thing I don't understand yet is the blue/violet region just right and above center.

ginoshu

01-12-2007, 12:01 AM
Indeed a great colorpalette you've got there!!Really like it!!!I agree with Angel it's a bit busy, and somehow a beam could be cool indeed.Like Aurora, me neither don't ubderstand ŕa 100% the bleu/violet zone. But on the other way I like these colors the way they bring in some more dynamism and variation in your palette!
Great job!!Have fun on the last run

ginoshu
01-12-2007, 12:10 AM
First time I wanted to add, like u said, a dinamism and contrast in color...and sugesting transport ship crowd...but I lost somehow the idea...the details are not finished yet. So, where u suggest to put the beam? ::))

Thank you!

OKMER
01-12-2007, 12:17 AM
Maybe a beam coming from far on the right of the image(just above the balloon) to the left upper part of the pic(above in the middle, abit to the left).Passing behind the building in the middle(a bit to the right).
If not maybe all up there passing through and behind some buildings.
Just a suggestion.Love it anyway!

awesome! its so unique, kinda like staring at an "escher", if you know what i mean..Those different textures splayed about the place have different vanishing points, if you decide to have them all working for eachother, thats when this piece will really kick in..No doubt you have plans for that anyway and in a wierd way it really works being so chaotic..this is just an observation, not so much a crit.

Love your piece very much!.

Marley

01-12-2007, 08:00 AM
I know about the textures....some of the the elements are not parallel between them...and I really dont want to...it will be tu much monotony...some of them are wrong put there...for the contrast...You have right anyway, I should improve the vanishing of some textures. Thank you, you have been very helpfull!:)) keep up the good work!:)

Megalitic, monolythic, awesomeolythic! :scream: You did a very good job, friend! I feel the rush of those ships, I feel their dynamics. Very impresive. A little suggestion, though: the purple blast effect at the tail of one of your ships I think you should refine it, because right now it gives the impresion that the ship is making a U turn, decreasing the composition's dynamics. Just my oppinion. In rest, it looks, just I've already said, breathtaking. Good luck!

Very nice Ginoshu! A really nice conceptual piece. The color, the composition for the most part, and the atmosphere all lend to a captivating picture. The one thing for me that could be modified just a little bit would be the variationg of sizes between the ships. Sending some of them back into the picture I think would help improve the composition some more. Love your use of textures here. Sa sporesti!

It's looking good so far. Nice colors, and a lvely wealth of details.
The one part in the picture that makes me scratch my head is the blimp in the lower right. I mean, here you have all of these impossibly futuristic floating cities, and all around them are zipping these spaceships using technology far above what we ourselves have... And then there's this blimp, which is technology from the 1930s, a good 100 years before the book takes place and liekly several centuries behind the technology in the Way (and in the rest of your illustration.) It's like playing a little game, "One of these things is not like the others," or "Spot the vehicle that doesn't belong with all of the rest."

Anyhow, to my it just feels incredibly out-of-place compared to what you're doing in the whole rest of the piece, and I find it quite distracting. Obviously that's just me, because no one else seems bothered by it, but I felt it worth asking about.

Good luck with the rest!

Hey ginoshu,

A very beautiful image! I like specially the perspective in it!
Although it's a bit difficult to connect to EON - it's as well could be any fantasy illustration. Somewhere in previous posts I saw an advice to add the plasma tube - I think it would really help to connect it to EON concepts.

Anyway, wonderful work!

Nice image, I like the size of the chandelier towers and the perspective you have given for the image!

It almost feels like if you were there and looked up anymore you would fall backwards!

Good work
