Morning all! Wow, doesn't it just feel like coming back to class after a long holiday? Thanks all for coming by. Happiness is made.

Maciej - thanks, and to you too!

Sacha - yep, it's going to be real fun this one. hmmm... who smells like old nuts? :scream:

Beckie - thanks sis, will you be in too? I'd love to see what you do of this one. Alien anatomy...?

Sabie - I just don't seem to be able to resist this... and no, haven't read the book. Maybe I settle with just the brief, I'm no big sci-fi fan these days - we'll see.

Michael - thank you and thank you :) Looking forward to yours too.

Lolo - thanks dear... and I haven't given up hope that you will enter too ;)

Steph - ah yes, big party... fried snails? :D
...GPG? Gunie Posts Guts?

Julien - thanks, good to see you're in!

Mona - ha, we'll see about dazzle ;) thanks.

Michael - thanks!

Monsit - Hi! I see you do both challenges as usual, no rest, eh? Looking forward to see what you do :)

Claire - hi and thanks!

Hamid - indeed it will, have fun now!

Soapy - glad you're in and crazy new avatar! Love it :)

Damir - yes it is - good luck to you too!

Matt - yep and same to you!

DaddyMack - Addict-who? :D

James - Ehh... plastspya? :D And thanks, so do I!

Sonia - hey, you're in too? Great!

Carlos - thanks a lot!

Omar - thanks, good to see you!

shakes - thanks... but where is your entry? You just have to enter! It will be fun and it's a long time to come up with something.

OK - thanks everyone for making me feel like home!

I've managed to order a used copey of the translated book, hopefully it will be here within some days. I'm not quite sure if I'm fitting best in this section or the 3d scene so maybe I move over later. No ideas yet, but from the brief description on the inspiration page I'd say probably something from chamber four... the wild recreational area, maybe a wildlife resort sounds pretty good.

Have a fun one all!

Morning Gunie!

I'm not quite sure if I'm fitting best in this section or the 3d scene so maybe I move over later.

And again exactly my thoughts:scream: :D ...I'm not sure myself, if we make a clear 3d scene, ready for animation, you think we can still switch to the model categorie later...!? That would be a good solution...

Even if I'm not in the challenge, I'm asked myself the question... with thiese new categories, not easy to take the good choice before really starting...

Looking forward to see what you come up with. Sure you will do great (and possibly a little humours)!
A bit confused about the categories my self… but this one feels like the right one I guess.

You too ? oh great to not be the only one ... It reminds me when I failed the driving exam .... I had the car but wasn't allowed to drive ....

I'm not quite sure if I'm fitting best in this section or the 3d scene so maybe I move over later.

Hey I asked myself the exact same question ... do you think we need to trade ?

... and what ? you want to frie me ... I'm shocking

Thierry - so glad you're here too!

Laeticia - thanks :)

Try - good to see you, are you in yet?

Lolo, Sabie, Steph - I've just been through the FAQ thread and it seems like the 3d category is more for modeling - quote Mibus "Yes, the judging on the 3D Scene (/ model) category will be less story-based and more based on technical excellence."

So, this seems to be the right area for me after all :)
Authentic have just posted the question about the possibility to switch later so we'll see what the answer will be.

Steph - Fried snail as in hurrying of course, nothing else ... don't worry MAS (mon ami Steph) ;)

Zalo - Allrighty lets go!!

So, thinking and spamming will continue and it looks like I will stay in this section...yep

While waiting for the book to arrive my mind started to spin about the mentioning of a wildlife resort on one of the islands in the fourth chambers... just playing so far.

Hi ha ! Gunnie !
The concept is interesting.
Maybe you will find something in the topic when U will have the book.
I have mine, let's start reading it tonight !

What happened to you ? Now Gunie is fast like the wind ?

And that's an interesting idea ... eventhough I don't really know the subject of the 4th chamber ... I definitely like the Gunie touch ! ...

Looking forward for more ... Go Gunie ... (and no guts this time ?)

Hey Gunilla, that concept is looking great! Yeah, I have some ideas too but like you I need to sit down and read the story first. From what I have gotten so far it sort of seems like Ringworld by Larry Niven. :wavey:

Morning Gunie!

Hehe, I see you couldn't resist to start something - wildlife resort, eh? Good idea with a lot of potential:wise: ...

Very nice that you read the FAQs and keep us informed:blush: (http://forums.cgsociety.org/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=0#), so this category really seems to be the best...

Have a great, creative day!

Good morning!

Gilles - thanks and I hope to get the book soon... next week at the latest, happy reading!

Steph - haha, fast like the wind...hardly :) I like to have something up very quick to give me the feel I've started. The only thing I know about the fourth chamber so far, is the snippet on the inspiration page - something about it felt right.

Matt - hmm, another one waiting for the book. I suspect it will be rather quiet in here for the next week or so until everyone has been through it.

Scooter - hehe, you know me now - can't miss one of these things... good luck to you too!

soaps - thanks! I kind of like them too, I think I try to do something more colorful this time... I suppose it has to be if that goes with the mood of the book.

Sabie - glad you like :) Yep, I was thinking mutated animals from the future.... wild plants growing upside down... water as sky, that kind of thing. So, if that's not in the book I may just invent it anyway;)

Lolo - thanks! I will play around some more for concepts since I want something to interest me for so long time... if I find the right one I do it even if it doesn't fit well.

Have a nice creative day all!

would love to see an island image from you with some wacky animals gunilla! like your sketch. BTW..thanks for asking-I'll probably go in, but just do one model for the 3d model section-got my first bubba on the way in 5 weeks so time will be slim I imagine!
I guess I'll have to do another Alien!

Gunilla
10-08-2006, 12:13 PM
Rune - thanks and hope to keep you curious :)

Lolo - haha, you know me quite well by now... I'm not a big fan of rules ;)

Per - Moose? Well, you haven't seen the end of it yet :scream:

Roshan - hi there, good to see you too!

John - good you're going to enter, these things wouldn't be the same without you...
Bubba=baby? If so, huge congrats and I understand why you plan to have no spare time - it's a big change for sure :)
And there can't be to many aliens around here, can it?

So, I've been thinking and thinking and just can't decide wether to stay in this section or move to the other one. I will make up my mind in the days to come.

I see kittens... Only Gunilla knows what will happen next.

Anyway, just in to wish good luck, and to further your knowledge about cats, here's some crucial (but not 100% work-safe depending on where you work) information -> http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Kitten_huffing

Kitten Huffing!!! :scream:

Haha, that I'd like to try - unfortunately the only cat available for me to huff is a 6kg big, very hairy and not de-clawed monster... it would probably choke me.

Thanks for stopping by and from now all thrilling stuff will be continued in my 3d scene thread here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=414664)
