CGTalk - matte painting

hi. i´m going to teach me a bit in matte painting, but its hard. i made an image composition, 2D the houses and 3D the ufo above.
but when i see images e.g. dylan cole and others i loose hope a little bit :sad:
c & c to improve my work are welcome.
