D´oh! haha oops, sorry when I saw Patricia meets Lanier I thought he was Lanier but now I saw his hand and ok, lol.Yep, is indian but the outline of Heineman, his face reminds me to the Lanier character, don´t know why...:)

And I think you get Patricia character very well too (is Patricia, isn´t she?:D :D )

See ya!

One word: Excellence. Really nice colors and mood. Maybe a little bit more dramatic lighting, but I'm sure you can handle that

Nice job on this second one aswell. :)
Spooky colors, but then I also think that part of the book was a bit spooky. ;)
(but I'm pretty sure it's going to get even more weird as we read more)

calisto: Thank you! :)

Korline: Thanks, just sketching some stuff up while im reading the book.

makaron: Tack! Ill try to pick up pace again..

NinjaA55N: Thanks man! I agree with you, it could use something in the upper right corner for balance, though its just a sketch as you asumed.. I like how you are always constructive with your comments!

Have been doing alot of other creative work this week.. I did some charactersketches at least and here's one of them. I took a photo of it and the light in my room was a bit weird, sry about that..

the yellow doesn't bother me that much, so don't worry about it. try flourencent/halogen lights, or a flash. looks like a typical incandecent bulb.

as for the sketch: overall, the proportions are good, but there are some small things to look at. the philtrum (the divot under the nose) is off center. it seems to be a bit far towards the left nostril. i feel that we should see a little bit more of the right nostril from this viewing angle.

for some reason, the eyes look a bit off. the shading is really nice, and you have captured the "live" look. nice highlights, esp in the irises. the thing thats throwing me is that they seem to be looking in slightly different directions.

the express is great. slightly worried, innocent. again, this comes back to the child-like, or atleast young, feel i get from this charecter.

but i think its overall a good sketch.

for the enviroment piece:
the mood is good. the composition needs a little work. generally, its not reccomended to cut a person's head in half, or at the wrists/ankles. i'd like to see the charecter on the left moved into the frame a bit more. and the hand has to be reworked or removed. it is out of perspective, and immediately jumps out of what is otherwise a good piece.

the other figuere's face is very nicely rendered. good shading, a nice feeling of light and volume. i think if you could bring that level to the rest of the piece it would really come to life.
