well i am here but weather i will do anything i do not know.... to be honest i am a bit disapointed by this challenge. Was so excited this morning to see the little square banner annoucing the challenge. But as i read the brief my heart sunk. No vague idea or feeling to interpret.. no. instead we are working for an author who i have never heard of. well tahts what it feels like. It's just... i feel uninspired by this. Usually when i have read past challenges the ideas came flooding in straight away... i was my own boss and could come up with anything i wanted. in this nothing came to me. i have never even heard of eon. I would have to read it first . . . and what of foreign countries who might not have a copy of the book in the language... discrimnating straight away.

anyway we will see

Hey W-I-L

I hear you - kinda feel the same here (won't be entering untill I have read to book - not sure if i've got the time). But on the upside - there's plenty of material to start building a picture, and everyones take will no doubt be unique. So I hope you get the chance to get going on it and end up with something good!

Hang in there Wil. This is a human story as much as it is anything else, which can mean endless interpretations. In fact, why not come up with something from the synopsis, without reading the book, and then see if the rest of us think that it fits with the book? That way you can still feel free and inspired and only minor twiks may be needed, which is what the "participation" part of this contest is all about anyway. Good luck!

:) Cheer up Wil... could be worse... (I've been animating and drawing maps all day, so the news of a new challenge seems fantastic no matter what!!)

I've not read the book either despite often seeing it in the sci-fi section, but I'll have a go

Hope to see a great entry from you - I really liked the work you created last time and hope you get time to enter

Dave :) :)

Yappa W-I-L, nice to see you're there!!!,ha,ha you're right about the book, not easy to say if your pic will be in the story or not, and for sure if you got a lot of work, it's not easy to read it besides that.

Hope you will!!! I'm reading it also for the moment and you'll see, there's a lot of inspiring stuff going on in the book.
And even so, maybe just read some pages over here and over there and then let yourself go mate,ha,ha!!!

Good luck(reading the book,ha,ha) and all the fun to you mate!!!
