OK ok... I know... I'm usually all over the challenge by now... I'll be straight up about why... Be warned that there will be some 'cringe factor' in this reply... especially for you blokes... I have been off radar because I needed some surgery... testicular surgery to be precise (cringe) My left nut had swelled to the size of a coke can... no seriously... I had to have some guys chop me up down there and I'm still a little worse for wear (10 scrotum stitches (cringe)). To top it off 2 days ago I was bitten by a white tail spider... I need to be more careful...

I'm orf with the family to the beach house for a coupla days to finalise recovery *sigh* and I'll see what I can make of this challenge when I get back...

On a lighter note I scored another teaching gig at Sydneys most prestige design campus teaching Zbrush :bounce: which should start soon and I've been snowed under with freelance... I'm subcontracting work out to 3 other geeks now too:)

Thanks for all the pokes prods and support:) Much love:wavey:

Gunilla
10-31-2006, 09:25 PM
Ouch! I've seen pictures of that condition - nasty

Poor you, take it easy, calm down at your beach house and then return to smash us all - and big congrats for the new jobs

but wait... we know you want more...

If my last post made you cringe a bit be warned that the following may have some sting in it too... We were happily holidaying in the lushness of the beach house when... I started feeling sick, dizzy and feverish... I slept for 3 hours and sweated like a freak. Woke up to see my (sting) scrotum swollen to an unspeakable size...... Off to the local little hospital where they didn't even wanna touch me... Was delirious with fever by then, they filled my veins with some hardcore antibiotics and morphine and shot straight back to the big smoke where I was reopened the next morning, reclosed and then shipped to a special bed. There I spent 10 days hooked up to various machines pumping me full of some of the most evil juices my body has ever experienced. I lost 8 kilos in 10 days while eating 3 meals and doing nothing but laying on my back... The aggressive antibiotics ate muscle, fat and at the time, much of my brain function... I barely knew what day it was most of the time...

I had picked up the second worst possible type of staf infection possible from my original visit to theatre and it took 3 weeks to incubate before it initiated its domination bid over my bod... I'm back home now but still not allowed to be vertical and my bod and brain are slowly recovering now... I have waay too much catching up to do now with family, work, school, the negligence suit I'm filing etc to even consider tackling this challenge with you dangerous folk... Sadly... this time, I'm one of those people... who just aint got the (poor pun) balls for it;)

For those of you with a morbid bent I took some snaps... pm me if you want to really cringe...

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys, I'll pay you all a visit in the coming weeks while I'm recovering from my recovery:beer::bowdown::wavey:
