Finally. A story not involving forest animals or a zoo. Since Luc Besson claims this will be his final directorial job........I'm in.

Hahaha... Madona?? snoop dog?? david bowie?? really weird choices :D; but the movie looks really cool, although its kinda weird, its not luc besson style imo... but very neat of him to try new things. Im gonna keep an eye on this.

The set reminds me of carpet people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Carpet_People) by Terry Pratchet.
I realy wish some of his his work is made into a realy good movie at some time.
Cheers

I'd suggest Terry Gilliam as a director for a Pratchet movie, considering what he did with Brazil, Time bandits, 12 Monkies and Baron von Munchhaussen.

Isn't it quite interesting that the CG Feature a european director produces feels a lot like Final Fantasy, whereas the Final Fantasy that Squaresoft produced felt much more like what you'd expect from the western world?

That being said, I'm not into this film at all. I'ver never been that much of a Luc Besson fan and I think his later work was much weaker than what he did with Le Grand Bleu or Leon but maybe that's just me. I don't quite like the trollish look and it seems not to have a lot of depth.

Did any of you guys read the book? Was that enjoyable for adults as well?

Wow... that looks pretty good actually.
Love the lighting and rendering quality.

And bonus points for originality.

Wasn't this film originally called Arthur and the Minimoys?

Anyone else think this resembles the Ant Bully? Not saying anyone copied anyone else but it looks like I already saw this movie, except it had bugs instead of fairies. I am gonna miss this one I think.
