Hi all,
Well, first attempt at a demo reel :wip: , I'd appreciate comments and critique.

You have to left click the link, and wait for the popup window.
Obviously it's very low res, I didn't see the point in rendering everything out high res for a first pass test, so excuse the poor quality. On the plus side, this means it's only a 6.2MB download.
Anyway, it's primarily a modeling reel, that is, to show my stuff as a modeler. Rather than just do boring spinning models or rotations, I've tried to liven them up a bit with some very basic animation. I don't pretend to be an animator, so I expect lots of criticism from that side of things as regards the animation, however, I'd like to hear comments on the presentation of the models, (if it means dropping the existing animations etc, so be it).
It's divx 5.0.2 encoded, so you'll need that installed. Available at http://www.divx.com/divx.
I can put up a different format, but file size will be a factor there. This is the smallest I can make it. I'll be rendering a higher resolution version after I get the feedback and implement whatever changes there are.
You may notice I've tried to split the reel into two parts, cartoony and realism, divided by pencil drawings in the middle. It's the only way I could get the two different styles to "fit" together. Any other suggestions on that would be very appreciated.
Also, the background music, is it too cheesy? Any other suggestions? I wanted something quite ... jaunty... to keep it moving along. I've heard alot of people don't listen to the music when listening to demo reels, but I'd like to have something in there.
Anyway, be harsh so I can improve it!
Hopefully it will be a step in the right direction towards the right job...
Thanks in advance,
Seán
