I think it's looking great. I'm not sure what's wrong either, but I know what your saying. When I look at it I feel like theres somthing out of place. The only thing I can even think of (and I might even be wrong) is that the left bottom left lantern seems a little out of perspective in relation to the other lanterns. Do you know what I mean?

I think perhaps it is her face. First of all, the features themselves are very masculine, but if that what's you are going for, then it's not a problem. Secondly, all of the those lanterns create a lot of light sources and a lot of light. Her face shouldn't be so completely engrossed in shadows as it is now. Right now, it looks as though she has a sheild on her neck that is keeping the light from coming through. Definitely lighten her face up.
Other than that, I think this looks fantastic, and I can't wait to see this finish. I can already tell it will look great!

This is cool! Only yeah, the figure is too dark for that many source of light, and you can also fix on her clothes folding, especially on the arm. The book still look flat and (this is just my feeling), the lighting on the part of the carpet that's directly under the tree seems off...
Oh, and just nitpicking. What is she looking at?
