I have selected a bunch of points on an object but I want the axis to be on a certain point. How do I do this?

thanks

Get the move tool and on the snap options enable point snapping. Then go into axis tool mode and move the axis. It will then snap on to points.

Many thanks for the reply 3Dkiwi but that's not what I'm after. I'm sorry I wasn't clear on my previous post.

You see, I have a couple of points selected which automatically centers the axis within the selection. Now I want to 'pull' just one of the points with a soft selection mode on in order for the other points to follow.

Please tell me if I still need to attach an image to clearly state what I want to do.

thanks

Sorry I wasn't following. Sounds like that you want to move the modelling axis whilst having soft selection enabled. This doesm't work. The soft selection is centred on the range of selected points despite where you drag the modelling axis.

If that's not it you may need to provide a screen grab of what you're trying to achieve.
