View Full Version : Rounding a trimmed surface?
dr_bob 03-19-2002, 01:01 PM Hi
I'm sitting here with the Art of Maya book in front of me, looking at the scooter model on pages 72-73.
My question is - how would one go about achieving the rounded bevels on the body of the bike? I can't get it to wrk with the trimmed surfce...
Thanks :-)

yeah, not sure on that one.
only way i could think of doing it is by lofting the two trimmed surfaces. and then select the entire outer row of C.V's and scaling them down a tad. (if you turn on Hulls and click or double click the line inbetween the C.V;s then it will select all the C.V's on that row).
It would be a really fiddly way to do it though... i'm sure there would be a better way.

You whould use a Surface Fillet. I get the most use from the Circular Fillet. Try it out, you will like.. yeas.:bounce:
