View Full Version : using opacity in two different layers

i have one with all black at the top. then another one with text is located at the bottom. then i animated the opacity of the top one, which is just a pure black. however, it didnt work. the text just simply suddenly pop out without any fade in.

wht did i need to mess with? the render queue? or the black clip?

my best guess zoom all the way to frame level to check your keyframes. make sure there aren't two side by side one at 100 and one at 0.

I've beat my head against the wall dealing with that in a nested pre-comp, took forever to figure what was going on.:banghead:

Do not use animated opacity but Effects->Channel->Blend(not sure about the names).

animated opacity is actually the same as the effect, blend. yes, u didnt remember it wrong.

it is almost the same except the blended layer u select.
