Ok, I just got a new MAC, 2.5ghz Quad, 6.5 gigs ram, 200gb HD, Geforce 6600 256 mb, running panther OSX 10.4.7. I still have lightwave (32 bit) 8.5, I tried installing it on my machine, everytime , I click on modeler or lightwave, nothing happens. I updated the sentinel driver (USB), re-installed the program twice and still nothing. I sent an e-mail to newtek as well, but I'm hoping if you guys can help me out. I don't even know where to start to see what's the problem. I installed it on both my PC's (a dual xeon and a pentium 4) and the program works fine. Even on my old mac (dual 2.0 ghz) it works fine. I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem, because all my other programs I've installed works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

maybe a stupid questio, but did you do the usual 'repair permissions ritual'? also, if you had any previous LW installation take care to empty the trash before trying the new installed version. i would not believe into an dongle issue, because without dongle LW runs in demo mode anyway, no?

"Repair pemissions", actually I never had to do that before, how do I go about trying that?

go to Applications >> Utilities >> Disk Utility. Then select your hard drive and click repair permissions.

Though I suspect your problem is a matter of replacing your eve3.framework. quite a common problem on the newtek forums I think. here's one thread about it:

Yes that worked, it was the "eve3.framework", that I had to install. Thanks for all the help.
