Title: Cruising the Wrecks
Name: Doug Stevens
Country: USA
Software: Illustrator, Photoshop
Done primarily in Photoshop from an old character sketch. I brought some textures in from Illustrator. Used some swordfish refs for the color and some anatomical corrections. Thanks for looking. Done for one of my friends over at Mernac.

Very nice work. You've done a great job on the face, particularly the mask, which I'm fond of, and I love the outstretched arm/hand. Personally, I think the tail doesn't quite live up to the rest of the piece, specifically the end of the tail, where it becomes a "Y". It seems a little lumpy in silhouette. If the shape were cleaned up a bit you'd have a really solid picture here.
Anyway, very impressive! Submit some more stuff, pronto!

very nice work, but it's true the tail and its fin dont reced into perspective well enough, this picture has a lot of potential :D

Thanks for the kind words, folks. It's good to get this first one out of the way. The tail has always bothered me as well. I'll most likely do a rework when I get the time. Hopefully I can have some new stuff posted soon. Thanks for checking this out and making a newb feel welcome.
